Our Story

The idea of personalized cutting boards came to us while we were looking for a unique keepsake for a friend’s wedding. We were sold on the idea that personalizing a cutting board would be the perfect gift – functional, elegant and distinctive.

While we managed to purchase beautifully handcrafted boards from our hometown in Ifugao, we had some challenges looking for a vendor who can help personalize the boards for us.

We ended up manually etching the monogram on the boards ourselves using available tools at that time.

Surprisingly, everyone who saw the personalized boards loved the idea, the craftsmanship and the personal touch – it was an instant hit!

And so Rustic Creations by AnJ® was born.

AnJ is an acronym for Anjhae & Jeoff. Also, short for Anjhae.

More than just an acronym, Anj is a Hindi word which means lotus in English language. Just like a lotus which starts off as a bud underwater, often in murky ponds, and grows until it emerges from the muddy waters in a beautiful blooming flower, we aim to stay close to nature and lovingly handcraft beautiful, elegant and thoughtful personalized wooden gifts that your friends and family will hold on to for a long period of time.
